Newbury Diving Club Welcomes Home Queen Mary 2 Newbury Diver dwarfed by the 150,000 ton QM2 Today members of Newbury Sub-Aqua Club took to the waters of The Solent to welcome the new Cunard liner Queen Mary 2 to her home port of Southampton for the first time. Travelling in one of the club's boats (Newbury Diver) the crew of NSAC divers greeted the ship off Calshot Spit. They then joined the flotilla of other small craft that followed the new liner up the Solent to her berth. Newbury Diver was coxed by NSAC club member Sam Warwick whose father Commodore Ron Warwick is Master of QM2.
