Newbury Diving Club Raises funds for
RNLI
Safety is always Newbury Sub-Aqua
Club’s first consideration so meeting the RNLI is not top of
their agenda, but Murphy’s law dictates that were the RNLI
unavailable that is when things would go wrong.
NSAC feel that a charity who are
prepared to risk their lives for you & I is worth supporting and
over the last year have raised funds by a talk on Nautical
Archaeology, collecting all club member’s european coins and
more recently donating part of the proceeds of the Christmas
Raffle.
Helen Wright wrote to 30 organisations
and received 33 prizes from 15 of them (including a signed
photograph of John Prescott MP), she then sold £ 485 worth of
tickets of £ 110 is being donated to the RNLI. £125 is being
donated to the Diving Diseases Research Centre and the remainder
going towards a new boat.
