If you are a beginner ...
The British Sub Aqua Club enjoys an
enviable reputation around the world for the standard to which
its members are trained. If you would like to learn to dive, the
club system differs from many commercial operations as we are a
non-profit organisation and can afford the time to let each
individual progress through training at their own pace.
We normally run 2 full "Ocean Diver"
courses each year, enabling you to learn and become competent at
skills in an indoor pool before you discover the thrill of
diving in open water.
The BSAC qualification is recognised
internationally.
If you are already a certified diver
...
BSAC recognises most international
qualifications and there is no need for any “crossover” program.
You will simply be awarded the equivalent level of qualification
to that which you hold with PADI, for example.
The benefits to a certified diver are
regular, affordable diving amongst like-minded people who enjoy
working as a team and who appreciate the opportunity to choose
what sort of diving they would like to do.
South coast wrecks are a big part of
our diving year and project days are arranged to locate wrecks
new to the club and to ascertain their suitability for club
divers. We have also mapped areas of scenic interest on our
project days, again with the aim of being able to offer new and
varied dive sites to our members.
